Hope everyone is enjoying summer! 😀
Thought it was about time to post some photos since a bit of a backup was starting to form with finished pictures on the computer, pictures sitting on the camera…time has gotten away from me this summer! I guess we’ve been busy with some little trips and trying to take care of a number little things before August!
Anyway, today we have a few pictures from our Memorial Day overnight camping trip, a few from Caleb’s IM softball championship and a few randoms.
We ventured down to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge over Memorial Day. We were entertained by the many prairie dogs…
And the wild bison herd! There were also longhorn cattle.
I’ve only ever camped in Colorado, Montana, and up at Tahoe, where you’re always glad of a campfire, so sitting and sweating in our campsite as far as possible from the fire the boys made to cook dinner was a new experience…also lying on top of our sleeping bags and peeling my sweaty legs away from the material…but we did get some sleep and I think Cody really enjoyed it.
After dinner we decided to head up “Mount Scott” in search of cooler air. Found a nice breeze, a nice view, and had lots of fun climbing around.
Possibly the highest point in Oklahoma? Elevation 2,464. Yep.
Also got in some nice hiking in the “cool” of the following morning. Probably the best hiking we’ve found in Oklahoma which isn’t saying much but still very enjoyable! Look at those wildflowers!
Both our little church here and Caleb’s home church in Tennessee graciously hosted baby showers for us. Here are a couple from the one here, since we were unable to attend the one in Tennessee.
Just a random shot: I just love that little profile.
Caleb played IM softball this year, and our team actually went all the way and won the championship in a thrilling bottom of the 9th walk-off home run game! It was a lot of fun watching them play and win.
The team with the trophy.
Smoothie mustache 🙂
Father’s Day…does anyone else have a hard time trying to figure out how to “pamper” dad? We tried to do some nice things and bought some special foods…this was from when we tried to fly a kite at the park, but ironically did not have enough wind for much success.
Work out time 🙂
